Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz’s recent split seemingly won’t mark the end of their working relationship.
On Tuesday, October 29, the star-studded cast list for Cate Blanchett’s upcoming film Alpha Gang was released by Deadline, featuring a slew of Hollywood A-listers including Tatum, 44, and Kravitz, 35. The action-comedy, which centers around a group of alien invaders hellbent on conquering Earth, will also star Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Riley Keough, and Léa Seydoux.
According to the outlet’s description of the film, the aliens are “disguised in human form as a 1950s leather-clad biker gang” and are “ruthless in their mission until they succumb to the most toxic and contagious human conditions of all: emotions.”
The announcement, however, came just hours before multiple sources confirmed to People that the pair had called off their year-long engagement.
The twosome met while working together on Kravitz’s directorial debut film, Blink Twice, which hit theaters in August and starred the Magic Mike actor.

Kravitz and Tatum signing up for the same project even post-split is not entirely surprising — they have both previously discussed how their love of cinema and art is something they both share.
“Art is our love language,” Kravitz told People during the August23 premiere of her Blink Twice, referring to the possibility that the two would work together again in the future. “I think it’s what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other.”
“This is what I”ll say about creating with someone that you are with or love: I suggest it,” Tatum said during an interview with People back in July, mirroring his then-fiancée’s sentiments. “If you are thinking about having a kid or if you’re thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner.”

Neither Tatum nor Kravitz have publicly commented on the reported end of their relationship at the time of publication. Us Weekly has reached out their reps for comment.
When announcing the cast of Alpha Gang on Tuesday, Fionnuala Jamison, mk2 Film’s managing director, told Deadline that the “stellar new recruits are a powerhouse of comedic talent, adding even more excitement to this eagerly awaited film.”
“This cast, just like the story and its filmmakers,” Jamison added, “is out of this world.”
