Denise Richards is leveling new allegations against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, amid their contentious divorce.
“In addition to the repeated abuse perpetrated by Mr. Phypers against Ms. Richards throughout the parties’ marriage, Mr. Phypers has continued to harass Ms. Richards since being served with the Temporary Restraining Order by, among other things, disseminating private information from Ms. Richards’ cell phone and laptop, which he stole,” Richards’ attorney, Brett Berman, said in a statement to Us Weekly on Monday, July 21.
“These actions continue to disturb Ms. Richards’ peace,” Berman continued. “We have warned Mr. Phypers in writing not to disseminate any information from Ms. Richards’ stolen cell phone and laptop but he continues to do so. Ms. Richards will not be responding to Mr. Phypers’ false allegations in a public forum and will be addressing Mr. Phypers’ abuse in Court.”

Denise Richards Accuses Ex Aaron of Threatening to Kill Her Before Split
Richards’ statement via her attorney comes one day after Phypers sent a letter to Richards’ family and friends, claiming she is in need of an immediate intervention.
“This is the hardest letter I’ve ever had to write. I just [got] some of my contacts back, after being without my cell phone since the 4th of July,” the letter reads, which Us exclusively confirmed was sent via text and email around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 20.
A source close to the couple told Us that the letter was a “frantic cry to help a loved one,” adding that “it is all about Denise now.”

In the letter, Phelps also denied Richards’ allegations that he was physically and verbally abusive during their marriage.
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages,” Richards alleged in court documents obtained by Us in which the actress requested a restraining order against Phelps after he filed for divorce on July 7.
“Aaron regularly threatened to ‘break my jaw’ and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help — none of which ever happened,” she continued to allege.
In the letter, Phypers claimed the “effects” of his estranged wife’s abuse claims had “reached beyond me.”
Denise Richards’ Ex Aaron Phypers Files Police Report Against Her
“My elderly parents (ages 83 and 84), and my brother — who have devoted themselves to caring for our daughter Eloise and Denise’s animals and supporting our family without pay for over three years — are now being targeted and publicly shamed,” he claimed. “They live in unbearable conditions: no hot water, no gas, no air conditioning in 100+ degree heat, and no financial support to buy basic supplies. Yes they continue to serve with love and loyalty.”
Us reached out to a representative for Phypers for comment regarding the letter. Reps for Richards did not respond to calls for comment.
On Sunday, Phypers filed a police report against his estranged wife, Us exclusively reported. According to a source, Phypers went into the Lost Hills station for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to file the report over alleged vandalism, theft and assault.
A representative for the Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the report had been filed by Phypers, but could not disclose the details of the allegations.
