Taylor Swift is entering her The Life of a Showgirl era.

Following countless theories from Swifties, the pop star announced her 12th album in a teaser clip for her August 2025 appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.

“So I wanted to show you something,” Swift told Travis and his brother and cohost, Jason Kelce, before picking up a case with her initials “TS” emblazoned on the front in orange font.

As she opened the mystery box, she took out the record, which was blurred in the clip, telling the brothers, “This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl.”

Both Jason and Travis could not contain their excitement over the news. Jason excitedly screamed while Travis exclaimed, “TS 12!”

Since Swift’s announcement, fans have taken to social media searching tirelessly for more clues about what to expect from The Life of a Showgirl.

There is no official release date at this time. However, Swift’s website indicated that the preordered items will ship before October 13, 2025. The website stated that October 13th is not the release date, which will be revealed at a later time.

Fans speculated that Martin, who has produced numerous of Swift’s songs in the past, could be collaborating with her on The Life of a Showgirl. Speculation sparked after Swift dropped a Spotify playlist in August 2025 titled “And, baby, that’s show business for you,”

While many believed that the playlist’s name could be referring to potential song lyrics, others were quick to point out that the songs listed were produced by Martin and his creative partner Shellback.
