Candace Cameron Bure Gives Update on Preemie Grandson Born at Just 3 Lbs

Full House star Candace Cameron Bure is giving a joyful update on her grandson’s health after the infant was born premature and at just 3 lbs.

“Introducing our grandson Bond Leo Bure,” Candace, 50, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, September 29, citing her infant grandson’s official birth date as August 4, 2026. The caption accompanied a slew of photos of the infant, including a photo of the baby in his NICU incubator. (The actress expertly hid her infant grandson’s face in the pics.)

“Baby Bond was born 10 weeks early weighing 3 lbs,” the actress continued, providing fans with an update on the baby’s condition. “For the next 6 weeks NICU doctors, nurses and mom and dad were amazing in their care and love for him. “He’s thriving and is finally home. I had no idea the love I would have for my grandchild. It’s a love like no other, beyond anything I imagined. My heart is so full.”

Candace’s son, Lev Bure and his wife, Elliot Bure, announced on September 27 that the pair had welcomed their first baby a little sooner than they had originally planned.

“Welcome baby boy!!!!” Elliott wrote via Instagram at the time. “Bond was born 10 weeks early at exactly 3 lbs and was transferred immediately to the NICU — through lots of tears, countless prayers, and what felt like endless hours in the hospital, 5 weeks and 5 days later, we finally brought our miracle boy home!!”

She continued, “Thank you to the entire staff of nurses and doctors who took the most incredible care of our baby, and to our community who we couldn’t have done any of it without! Thank you Jesus for every answered prayer!!!!! we are blessed beyond measure!!!!”

Candace commented on the couple’s social media announcement, calling her grandson a “miracle baby.”

“Our hearts could not be more full of love,” the actress wrote at the time. “You and Lev are the most amazing parents, and we are here for every minute of it ??❤️. We love you all sooooooo much.

On Tuesday, the proud grandmother gave fans additional insight into the premature newborns’ first days and weeks earthside and now that he is home.

“Bond is surrounded with so much love, by his devoted and incredible parents, aunt and uncles and his 2 sets of grandparents,” she continued in the touching caption. “Not to mention allllll of his extended family and friends. To those who knew, thank you for all your prayers an love. What a blessing we’ve been given.”
