Did Shaboozey Just Confirm Odessa A’zion and Drew Starkey’s Romance?
Fans have been long speculating that I Love LA and Marty Supreme breakout star Odessa A’zion and Outer Banks’ Drew Starkey are in a relationship, and Shaboozey may have just let the cat out of the bag.
While on the red carpet for the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, February, 1, Shaboozey, 30, was asked by Live From E!: Grammys correspondent Keltie Knight about a rumor he’s heard about himself that he wishes were true.
“Odessa A’zion. I Love LA. Oh, my God. ‘Shaboozey, he’s FaceTiming me. He’s so obsessed,’” the country singer joked.
Knight, 44, followed up: “It’s not true?”

“She’s a pretty girl,” Shaboozey responded. “Taken though, taken. Awesome. She’s a good friend, too.”
The “A Bar Song” singer recently linked up with A’zion, 25, at W Magazine’s Annual Best Performances Party in Los Angeles on January 10, 2026, where they posed for a photo with Sombr.
Also at the Chateau Marmont gathering was none other than Starkey, 32 — who posed for some flirty photos with the actress — leaving fans to contemplate if Shaboozey got the inside scoop straight from the rumored couple at the event.
A’zion and Starkey were first linked when they costarred in 2022’s Hellraiser remake, playing love interests Riley and Trevor. Later that year, the actress posted a heartwarming birthday tribute for the Queer star via Instagram.

In December, A’zion’s I Love LA costar Josh Hutcherson let it slip that she is in a relationship — just like Shaboozey at the Grammys — telling Bustle, “Odessa’s on a rocket ship. She’s not ready for it. We’ve had many conversations of her having near panic attacks about all the press, photo shoots, and travel she has while also trying to maintain her relationship.”
A’zion recently made headlines for dropping out of the film adaptation of Holly Brickley’s novel Deep Cuts following casting backlash. Starkey is already attached to star in the A24 film, along with Cailee Spaeny.
“Guys!! I am with ALL of you and I am not doing this movie,” A’zion wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, January 28.

The actress initially faced backlash for her casting as Zoe Gutierrez, a character described in the book as half-Mexican and half-Jewish.
She explained more context behind the decision in follow-up posts, writing, “I’m so, so sorry that this happened. It is SO important for me to let you in on how it all went down: I went in for Percy, but was offered Zoe instead and instantly said yes! … I’m so pissed y’all, I hadn’t read the book and should have paid more attention to all aspects of Zoe before accepting… and now that I know what I know??? F*** that! I’M OUT.”
The actress continued: “I’d never take a role from someone else that’s meant to do it. That SHOULD do it! That’s not me. There are a plentitude [sic] of people more than capable of playing this role and I am NOT one of them. I can’t wait to see who it ends up being. … I was so excited I just said hell yeah ‘cause I knew how much I loved the story so I was just down to be a part of it, and so excited to work with this group of people! But f*** thattttttt y’all never again!”
