Travis Kelce Sets Chiefs All-Time TD Record While Taylor Swift Skips Game
Taylor Swift was not in the stands when Travis Kelce returned to the football field as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 16, missing out on watching her fiancé make Chiefs history.
The pop superstar, 35, chose not to travel to Empower Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver for the matchup — an expected choice since she has yet to attend any of her fiancé’s away games (so far) during the 2025-2026 NFL season.
Kelce, on the other hand, set the Chiefs’ all-time touchdown record during the game, scoring his 84th career TD in the fourth quarter, giving his team a 19-16 lead with a little more than 8 minutes to go. (It was only the third career touchdown Kelce has ever had at Mile High Stadium.)
Kelce had tied the record during a Monday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders — a record previously held by NFL legend Priest Holmes.
The Sunday matchup between the Chiefs and the Broncos was pivotal for Kelce, 36, and his teammates given their 5-4 season record heading into the game. The Broncos led their mutual AFC West division with an 8-2 record, while the Chiefs were not in the AFC playoff ranks before the two teams took the field on Sunday.
Every Time Taylor Swift Attended an NFL Game to Cheer for Travis Kelce
Swift was most recently in attendance at a Chiefs game when the team beat the Washington Commanders at home on October 27. After a disappointing loss to the Buffalo Bills on November 2, the Chiefs enjoyed some much-needed downtime during their bye week.
Travis declined to tell his brother, Jason Kelce, about his bye week plans during the November 5 episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
“For the next week, at least take your mind a little elsewhere,” Jason, 38, prompted. “What are you doing? Anything fun [or are] you getting into any travel? What are you doing over the week? Tell us about your personal life.”
Despite Jason’s best attempt, Travis did not take the bait.

“No, no,” he replied. “Obviously, you set goals out in the beginning of this season to win the division, win the conference [and] get that home field advantage, make everyone have to come through Arrowhead. Right now, it’s just not that.”
Travis emphasized that during his week off he would remain focused on what the Chiefs could and need to do to succeed when they returned to play the Broncos.
“I’m not thinking about [the playoffs yet],” he said. “I’m thinking about how the f*** are we going to beat the Denver Broncos? That’s going to be on my mind for the next two weeks.”
Despite Travis’ insistence about concentrating on work during the bye week, he still found time for a couple of date nights with Swift in New York City. The couple — who announced their engagement in August — were spotted hitting up The Polo Bar on November 5 and Zero Bond on November 6.
Although Swift and Travis enjoy the occasional joint public outing, the pair are just as happy to simply spend time together at home.
Everything Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Have Said About Their Wedding So Far
“Taylor and Travis are really chill,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in October. “On a typical night in, they’re casually having dinner and figuring out what to stream. It’s very domestic and calm.”
While the duo’s New York date nights are paparazzi-worthy events, they are just like everyone else behind closed doors.
“Taylor and Travis are super simple,” the insider revealed. “People expect glam when they visit them, but it’s the complete opposite. Sometimes they’re in sweats, eating takeout. It’s not what you’d expect.”
As for their impending wedding, the plans are “coming along,” according to a second source. “They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help.”
Meanwhile, the first insider told Us that Swift and Travis “don’t want a long engagement” since they “very much want to start a family in the next year or so.”
